Woke up, and decided today was the day. I mean, everyone in town tells me I’m the new farmer…if I’m a farmer I should probably farm. Not that you need to listen to others expectations of you. Live your life. But that IS why I came here, right?
So I decided I should build a gate and some fences, till some ground and plant some seeds. The issue: despite three days of work, I still don’t have even a space for a small plot. So first…you guessed it…I went back to clearing land.
After that was done I was about ready to pass out. So…I ate another wild horse radish and another flower. I really need a burger joint. Anyway, I had enough energy and put down the gate. Then I tried to lay down the fences…for about three hours. I could never get them lined up well. I’m telling you placing things is nearly impossible,
I gave up with the fence for now, tilled some land, and planted some seeds. After that I decided to attempt to water the seeds…and was at the point of exhaustion again after watering just 4 of the 12 I planted. Time to go try to find some flowers to eat, I suppose.
I searched around, found one (which I quickly ate) and ran in to more townsfolk. A few I had met before, several new, I followed one to a beach where I picked up a couple of shells and other things. It was getting dark, so. I went back home for more sleep.
Another day complete in this strange town of strange people. Something is off here..but I don’t know what, an example: I looked at a broken bridge and thought “I could fix this with 300 wood.” What a weird thought. They have a name for this town…but to me it is definitely Springfield from GI Joe. There is, after all, something strange in the neighborhood. The only problem…I have no one to call.
